email@example.com is also operating under the email address firstname.lastname@example.org and name Sandra Wilson, and she signed the email as Juliet L.! How dumb do people think we are??
email@example.com is a scammer. Hes sending a check in the mail to me which i will discard now. I knew something seemed fishy with the email i got with him/her trying to give me extra money for my ‘running around’ No longer using craigslist! funny thing is that was my first time posting something! woo.
Chun.firstname.lastname@example.org just tried to scam me, by sending fraud checks. Only accept cash on Craigslist.
Chun Lee is nothing but a scam, sent me a fraud check and willing to give $120
For sending rest of funds to a moving location with a address of
225 Cherry St, Charlotte, N.C. 28204
Beware all of this scammer chun lee, I am turning all I received over
To the police department to the fraudulent unit, and than we’ll
See who else they will try to scam.
Let me join the group. Received a check for $3150 for an item I was selling for $975 on Craigs List. Rest of money was to be used to pay for shipping and run-around money. (I was suppose to send money for shipping via “MoneyGram” to Tiffany Lowery @ 225 Cherry Street, Charlotte, NC. 28204). Check was written on account from The Travel Chronicle, Carbondale, CO (a valid company according to the web), Bank name is Alpine Bank, Basalt, Basalt, CO (also a valid bank according to web), check came in envelope (priority overnight) from a business called DESMA USA Inc., Hebron, KY (also a valid company) with a individual’s name: Mike McNamee, phone #210-704-7153 (a phone number registered in San Antonio, TX. Not the smartest scammer I’ve ever seen.
I had a similar encounter only the person who emailed me was “Kayla Cecil” email@example.com The phone number is the same as the one you were given, Marty. The company on the check was different, though. In my case it was Somero Enterprises Inc. out of Boston, MA and the bank was RBS Citizens NA in Medford, MA. The name on the envelope return address is George P Setas and the name on the check, while not legible, looks nothing like George or Kayla. Hmmmmmm…
I just got a craigslist thing for this too, and I got more money for running around as well.. Is it a scam? It came from
but was going to that same address.
christine colgin is the name now being used by chun lee they are emailing me and i’m not one too be scammed and them get away with it……what do i need to do to catch “christine colgin” the check is not here yet.
Same thing here.christine colgine is the name being used now.
The check is bad. We have to work together to nail them. Email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
Tell me your story. Git me on craigslist but didnt get their money. Rachel you got scammed.
Google needs to work with us on this one to catch him

Received scam emails from the following email as well: kayla cecil ; and several others. And they are persistent… keep saying you have received the check – I am going to report you to the FBI or CIA as a scammer???? cannot even block their emails — just route them to spam
Email address did not come through on 1st comment – so here is the address: firstname.lastname@example.org
STAY ALERT OF KAYLA CECIL
she is very persistent and acts as a normal person she was buying my tablets off craigslist and i was only selling them for 250 and she sent me a “check” for 2000 and wanted me to money gram the rest i told her no and now i am warning everyone about her.

I just received the exact same email from from a CHRISTINE COLGIN at CHUN.LEE36@GMAIL and it sounded so fishy that’s why I had to to google her email. Who pays with a bank check in Craigslist! I only accept cash.
Christine Colgin Chun.email@example.com
Be aware of this fraud guys. He or she is a complete joke. I received the same email as Tina’s husband today at 11:11am. The email, name and message itself seemed a bit strange. Spread the word. Don’t fall for these bs scams. Do a little research before anything!
i found this link via google cuz i thought something sounded fishy when “she” kept saying item so i emailed back and asked for a description of the item saying i had many adds on craigslist and kept having my question ignored…….so i googled the return email address and scammer is what i found………..i am calling the police right now i want this scammer gone
Same exact message as everyone else reporting the scam on this site. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH CHRISTINE COLGIN “CHUN LEE.” I knew it was a scam right away, typed in the name in a search engine, and discovered countless reports of this rip-off artist.
Just recieved a e-mail from this Christine Colgin and said they would send me a check to send them my information and no way. I said no cash no sale!
The e-mail they are using now is firstname.lastname@example.org watch out they are still triing to scam people!
I received an email from christine colgin
About an item, exactly as above. I understand it is a scam but WHAT are they trying to scam me of? In what way can this person or group negatively effect us?
I have an item on Craigslist, never communicated with anybody yet. This email just arrived from Cristine Colgin under email@example.com. Definitely became suspicious and found this site. Below is her email.. And beware of scammers!
Name to be on the payment………..
Cell phone #…………….

Tried to spam me today also, but I never advertised nor responded to his/her post. They found my ad on the Redding & Chico CA Craigslist’s and sent me the following…
“I really appreciate the prompt respond to my Email.I have been contracted to fix up some HP laptops but at the moment i am in McHenry IL attending to some other jobs. In view of this we are looking to offer you this job and we want you to handle the fixing of the laptops on agreed terms.
These are what need to be done on the laptops.

I hope to hear from you soonest.”
I looked up the email address and found this website so I wanted to add the latest scam from this person.
Got email trying for me to mail my product listed on CL to them.
The person didn’t give an address to ship anything to, but request my location and details.
So, if people have shipped to this person, please list the address(es) the scammer is picking up from. This helps the law enforcement nab the indivual. If the person uses local drop locations in their area, it would be easy to nab them sooner.
Got the exact same emails from Christine Colgin and had the same requests to send the money elsewhere. Persistently trying to contact me and saying the FBI will be involved….. Also extremely illiterate. Who is this person and why hadn’t something been done?! Local police are involved, here. Whoever it is has my address and I’m not about to have that in the back of my head!
I just received an email and just so happened to check out the name and came here this person is still string the same thing. I got the email from Christine colgin wanting me to remove my add and was sending me a check.thank for letting me know it was a scam. I never use Craigslist.

I am so happy that there is an ongoing history of this idiot. I hope to be the one to help bring him, her, or it down. I fed into the original email coming from firstname.lastname@example.org but became really suspicious when I received a second email from. “Scott Adkins” who is actually an actor. Ok…anyway the second email came from email@example.com this person, place or thing has been doing this same thing wayyyyy tooooo long. I know we can’t stop them all but maybe this one can be caught up with as a relief for all.
I received the same info.Check is from The Travel Chronicle 218 East valley road 104-377 Carbondale, Co 81623 for $2350.00 when I was asking for $850.00 for item. Had no doubt it was a scam, did a search and came across this info.
Kayla Cecil is at it again on craigslist with a new email. firstname.lastname@example.org Don’t conduct any business with this scammer.
She did the same with me…thanks to posting like this, I was able to verify it was a fraud/scammer:

will be overnight to you and i will let you know when its mailed out.
And i hope we handle this in good faith while waiting to hear from
you. i will add an additional $45 so that you can hold it for me till
the check reach you.
Just got an email from this person as Jessicag9la@gmail.com. Knew it was a scam from the moment I read it. These people would be dangerous, if they got someone with them who could actually write in English.
