    • I got the “Pastor Steve York” pitch as well for an iPhone to be sent out of California. Checked many times on
      PayPal, sent several emails to him. No response. No shipping either. Hope that anyone with the same kind of
      approach will be wary. I’m so sorry that Craigslist is not flagging these huckster criminals.

      My advice: Always wait until you withdraw PayPal money in full before parting with whatever it is you have
      advertized. Also, USE A THROWAWAY EMAIL when you respond. Just set up another with gmail, and then
      add it to your iphone or pc or whatever you use. Never respond and give your phone number. If they want you
      to talk, make sure you block your outgoing telephone number using the code you key in before making the call.
      Or, just have the phone company block visibility of your outgoing phone number, and unblock it when you call
      someone you want to see it. If you are calling from an iPhone/iPad, in the contact list for someone who may call
      you, put in two telephone numbers like this example: 123-456-7890, AND *31# 123-456-7890

      These are not real numbers, use the actual phone number of your contact in the format I displayed above.
      This is what I had to do on my ATT iPhone carrier. The *31# prefix unblocks your telephone number, which I recommend you tell your phone company to do for you, or you can do it in the iPhone setup menu. That’s the one you call out on to, say, Mother or friends you want to see your phone number. The plain one is used to allow the iPhone/iPad to display the incoming caller name in your contact list. Somehow, the smart designer of the iPhone didn’t know how to look up the contact name if there is a *31# added prefix. Go figure.

      If you then setup the iPhone to block outgoing caller ID in the phone setup, with these two variations for some
      contact, you can choose to block or unblock your own caller ID as you wish.

      Please not : Toll free phones can ALWAYS read your blocked ID, these are like 800, 866 prefixes.
